In my search for the "perfect chord," I have found improvisation to be the most awesome way to connect to the cord of spirit. Getting here has been a journey. I am a preacher's kid, a heart-warming friend, an ordained minister (in a real Protestant church), a husband, recording engineer, unix systems analyst, "the backup guy," a singer/songwriter, and more. I've lived in Scotland, Iowa, Texas, and California before moving to Delaware Water Gap, Pennsylvania in 2001. Each role and each place has also provided me with the connections I seek.
I bring all of this to my music -- especially to my improvising. Most of all, I've learned to let the spirit that is present come through me, into my fingers and vocal cords. Ah, yes. More cords and chords.
